Sketches of a Singapore version of Github’s Octocat!!!

Mid-Fidelity Prototype for a web app,
Getting familiar with Adobe Experience Design and I quite like it for interaction design except it lacks some basic functionality (i.e. creating dashed lines).
WIP flatlay Image, been watching some Illustrator tutorials lately. As you can see I’m still getting the hang of it!
And the prototypes continue! Forgot how many iterations, but I enjoy user testing because with every session I learn something I’d otherwise completely miss. Continuing low-fi in Illustrator instead of paper because:
a) I want to keep on building Illustrator skills over the course of this internship, and
b) Desktop screens are more complicated to draw than mobile screens. It really is much easier to copy and paste instead of re-drawing all over again (plus my handwriting starts to scrawl and users begin to squint)
Reiterate, reiterate, reiterate. The third and fifth draft of the web app paper prototypes I’ve been working on.
“The BFF Club” BreastFeeding Friends SG App PR Folder (Brochure)
Y2S2, Module: NM3217, Design for Strategic Communications
Strengths of this project:
I thought this was a great cross between an infographic and a brochure, with a pleasant colour scheme, eye-catching graphics and a unique sticker component at the back. I made sure to phrase relevant information the organisation theoretically would want users to know about, in terms of information users found the most value in.
Areas of improvement:
As a screen-based infographic-type material I think this would do well, however, when I printed it out in real life I had to account for the CMYK/RGB conversion, which lost much of graphics vitality.

“The BFF Club” BreastFeeding Friends SG App
Y2S2, Module: NM3217, Design for Strategic Communications
App mockup designed using Photoshop and Sketch, I came up with this app to collate the features of the organization’s website, for a more user-friendly experience.
UX Problem-Solving
The organisation, Breastfeeding-Friends Singapore, featured a search engine for nursing-mother friendly merchants on their website, and links to the mechant’s websites. It also had a blog and occasionally featured events.
What I tried to do was aggregate all the positive features of the website into a mobile application, which I featured here. I added in an events calendar to help users keep track and register for events, and also added in the features for a review system to build more personalized merchant profiles.
